Leicester City Academy 0 - 1 Coventry City Academy

I was part of a team of three for this game. The others were John Brookes and someone else (sorry if you're reading this but I forgot your name!!). I was a level 8, the other guy a 7 and John a 6. SO I was the newbie lol. Anyway, instead of one reffing and the others lining throughout we all took it in turns. In academy football they play 4 quarters, see. Two 25s and then two 12 and a half minutes. I refereed the first 25 and I thought it went ok except I missed the "big push" that they weren't very happy with. The coach person said I missed it too, as did the other two; I just thought it was strength though I am in the minority there!! I was glad when it was out the way because that meant I could concentrate on lining for the rest of the game, which I thought I did well at. I learnt a few very useful things about where to point the flag when running but John said my flagging technique was great so that's good to hear :)

So that's it for that game but I can't wait for the next chance to line now!
