Leicestershire 3 - 2 Wiltshire - Pictures of the game!!

This was an absolutely great game!! I loved it. I didn't think that I would make it, however... all morning I was sick and throwing up :( BUT I really wanted to do the game and so I had to. Left the house at 11am and arrived at Lincoln shortly after 12.30. I was the second official to arrive (the first being the 4th Official - Gordon Wells). I went onto the pitch and had a look around before going into the changing room (which was quite good!) and waiting until kick off...

We were briefed on what time we had to leave the teams out and everything and what end penalties would be taken at if it came to it (but fortunately it did not come to that) and then we led the teams out of the tunnel - this was really good because the noise from the crowd was quite high as they had air horns and everything. The game was filmed on a DVD and I am getting a copy of it. During the game I was the junior assistant, so on the far side, but I felt that I was good on my side, albeit still feeling a little ill. I did my best and thought I did well :)

Leicester were 2-0 up and 10 minutes before full time, Wiltshire scored. In the third minute of stoppage time.. Wiltshire equialised but in the fifth minute of stoppage (of five minutes) Leicestershire scored the winner! A great run by the right winger before pulling it back for a team mate to score. The atmosphere was great in those last few minutes as one team thought they'd snatched an equaliser before the other team then won it. After the game, we got presented with great mementos and then had a post-match hot meal. It was a really good day! :)
